The haberdashery wholesaler, Veno, was looking for a give-away that lets the zip shine out in a new light and ultimately opted for the cable Hydra: It looks like a zip, but is indeed a charging and data transmission cable. Its special feature: The cable actually can be zipped open, doubling its length. This enables two devices to be charged simultaneously even if they are located quite far apart.
The product is available in the lengths 40 cm and 110 cm and can be produced in diverse configurations and on request also dyed in individual colours. Logos are attached in the form of a 2D-PVC pendant and the packaging can also be customised.
Hydra above all symbolises the connection between a familiar and a modern item, a zip and a charging cable. In this way, the model not only excellently reflects the advertising message of Veno, but also illustrates the interaction between two worlds – this incited the jury to distinguish the item with a Promotional Gift Award in the category Custom-made Designs.
