In the scope of their “Heimatliebe” (love of one’s country) campaign, a savings bank from Rhineland Palatinate has been promoting regional projects especially in the areas sports, environment and social-responsibility since 2017. In support of a donation campaign prior to Christmas, Rastal developed an innovative donating concept together with Particulate Solutions, a company that specialises in social purpose marketing. The focus: A cup, which thanks to the innovative printing process “Rastal Smartprint®” is fitted with an integrated NFC chip that enabled the customers, employees and stakeholders to be actively involved in the distribution of corporate donations. The Smart Cup can be connected to every NFC-compatible smartphone, without an app having to be installed. This means donation credits can be called up and distributed intuitively making it simple for recipients to donate money for matters close to their hearts.
The campaign, which links up companies and target groups in real-time and raises the classic product, the cup, up to a future-oriented technical level, won a distinction in the category Best Practice.
