Herka not only set itself the task of communicating values like simplicity, quality and sustainability, but also wanted to generate a haptic wow effect. The Waldviertel Hamam Towel was developed to satisfy this claim: It is made out of a novel, particularly lightweight, double face fabric. The front side that is made from a flat fabric is reminiscent of the Hammam towel it is named after, the reverse side consists of a fine, terry cloth structure. As such, around 30% less fabric is used to make the item compared to conventional beach towels. This reduces the washing and drying costs in everyday use, i.e. in hotels or in the wellness sector – and earned the item a Promotional Gift Award in the category Communicative Products.
In addition to the low weight of the item, its discrete striped design and the premium decoration in the form of a woven relief, the item’s high degree of individualisation is convincing even for small order volumes. The towel that is completely produced from cotton in the Waldviertel district, Austria is available for minimum quantities of 40 pieces and within a lead time of just four weeks. The woven relief allows the item to be easily adapted to match the promoting company’s respective CI.
To this end there is a choice between over 40 yarn shades certified according to the Standard 100 by OekoTex®. The grass cardboard banderole can be individualised with a personalised label for order volumes of 50 pieces upwards and an individual 4c offset print is possible for minimum quantities of 500 pieces.
