It is a well-known fact that advertising messages are supposed to grow and flourish in the minds of the target group – and ultimately bear fruits. The particularly sustainable notepads of Matabooks demonstrate this wonderfully – the seed books’ name says it all: Growing. Distinguished with an award in the category Communicative Products, the notebook leaves a lasting impression and at the same time gives something back to nature, because wild flower seeds are embedded into the book’s cover, which can simply be planted after the notebook has served its purpose. The manufacturer uses seed paper, which has a better haptic feel and is smoother than the former products. The pages inside comprise of sustainable 110 g/m² grass paper – the paper has an up to 50% grass fibre content, the fresh fibre share stems from wood from FSC-certified forests. Furthermore, the notebook is completely vegan, because it is produced without the use of bone glue, leather binding or carmine dyes, cotton waste is also implemented.
The book is manufactured locally in Dresden and Leipzig, where it is imprinted in an environmentally-friendly process using ecological printing inks. And of course it is completely compostable – so ideally nothing remains apart from the advertising message in the heads of the target group. The cover can be decorated with an individual motif, which is printed on seed paper and glued onto the raw cover blocks. The reverse side can also be customised and individually designed.
