In 2019, Stihl celebrated 60 years of Contra: When the first gearless one-man chainsaw was introduced, it was considered to be a real milestone – both for the forestry industry and for the company Stihl. In tribute to the legendary saw and its anniversary, together with Rheinwalt, the company designed and developed among others a universal box that was made to look like the motor cover of the saw. Not least thanks to the engineer’s original drawings, it was possible to imitate the character of the Stihl top-seller down to a tee and fill the anniversary year with a lot of retro style. The slightly curved lid donning a riveted nostalgic logo produces a wow effect, which emotionally addresses customers, fans and collectors.
Practical, food-safe and multifunctional, the universal box Contra is a true allrounder, which was rewarded by the Jury with a Promotional Gift Award in the category Custom-made Designs.
