Kingly presented the jury of the Promotional Gift Award totally sustainable socks made from 80% GOTS-certified cotton and 17% recycled nylon (compliant with the Global Recycled Standard GRS) and collected a distinction in the category Communicative Products. According to the manufacturers, they are the most sustainable socks in the ranking of the sustainable platform, Bcome. In the course of the assessment by the independent testing body, in addition to the eco-friendly materials also the environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient, certified production methods as well as the entire transparent supply chain were taken into consideration. Production waste is reused for upcycling socks, discarded socks are donated to charities. Furthermore, the labels of the socks are made of recycled or seed paper, which when planted in flower boxes or flower beds further enhances the sustainable presence of promoting companies.
Alongside the environmental aspect, the socks also excel because of their good wearing comfort thanks to the seamless, machine processing and because of the high degree of design freedom they grant promoting companies: Six GOTS-certified yarn colours are available from stock. Cotton yarn is available in over 140 shades, recycled nylon yarn in over 120 shades and GOTS-certified yarns can be provided in pantone shades within four weeks. The production is carried out in Bulgaria in compliance with the quality, environmental management and health and safety standards.
