The Conductor Bear was newly designed by cyber-Wear as a likeable secondary use for the uniforms of Deutsche Bahn that were discarded in 2020. In close cooperation with the cuddly toy specialists mbw, a collector’s item donning a suit, tie and hat in Deutsche Bahn style was created – from the sketch through to the exclusive registered design. To this end, the old red and blue uniforms were cleaned in Germany and sewn into miniature versions in the EU. In addition to the uniforms being upcycled, the cuddly toy itself also convinces in terms of sustainability: The GS-certified bear is namely made in Europe from 100% rPET, the audited sewing shop is an amfori BSCI member. Furthermore, the hangtags are produced from recycled paper.
The collector’s item that is made with love for detail is available from the shop of the railway company as a limited edition and not only makes the hearts of railway fans beat faster: The opinion of the jury of the Promotional Gift Award was unanimous and along with the DB logo on the jacket they presented the thoroughly sustainable bears with a distinction in the category Merchandising. Next stop: the home of a bear-loving railway fan.
