Nobody will leave the gym bag by Araco behind: With its innovative “all-over and full-colour pigment print“ design, the cotton drawstring bag steals the show. The secret: The models measuring 38 x 42 cm are digitally imprinted before being assembled – this means the logo can be imprinted on the outside as a full-surface motif without a size limit, which according to Araco was hitherto only possible in the case of sublimation prints on polyester material or screen prints. The material is imprinted continuously on a roll of 100% cotton material. In the next step the print is affixed onto the fabric using warm air, post-processing is not necessary. The energy-efficient digital printing process convinced the jury of the Promotional Gift Award 2019, which promptly awarded the technique a distinction in the category Customising Technologies among others for the precise, photo-realistic and colourful implementation of the motifs. Oeko-Tex-certified cotton and printing inks are used to manufacture the gym bags, the production in the Netherlands ensures short transport routes; furthermore the production was optimised with a view to the avoidance of waste.
