Watches tell the time, but they also reveal the prestige of their wearers. Watches are decorative luxury items especially in the higher-priced segment. So, the Porsche Watch Winder was distributed to the fans of sports cars to mark the introduction of the new Porsche 911 GT3. These can be used to wind up their valuable wristwatches and keep them working, while at the same time proving to be an adequate means of presentation.
The shape of the watch winder is based on the sports chronograph in the cockpit of the car, the black, imitation-Alcantara material resembles the interior trim of the vehicle. The casing is made from black aluminium with a transparent, scratch-resistant and break-proof plastic lid, the Porsche logo is stamped into the metal. The stand for the watch itself is made from black plastic and is covered with black velvet. It is suitable for both ladies’ and men’s watches up to a weight of 300 g. The rotation speed can be adjusted and if the appliance is switched off, the watch automatically returns to the 12 o’clock position. The drive of the synchronised gear motor is controlled by two knobs.
