The Austrian paper expert, Fidel Gmeiner, has created an eco-friendly alternative to plastic lint rollers in the form of the patented Eco Lint Roller – logi, which won a Promotional Gift Award in the category Communicative Products. The long-standing manufacturer of paper tubes has always implemented recycled cardboard, is ISO-certified, is an ETA award winner for energy savings and sources its raw materials within a maximum range of 400 km.
The centrepiece of the prize-winning product is a durable, six-piece hard paper handle made from recycled cardboard. The handle is attached to an innovative lint roller system that can optionally be enhanced with additional functions such as essential oils for the care of animal hair. Once the adhesive roll is empty, the handle can simply be attached to most of the common adhesive rolls sold in retail outlets and reused.
A flap measuring 10 x 15 cm offers plenty of space for individual customisations on each roll and from a certain order volume upwards the handle can also be individualised. The manufacturer is currently working on a solution that will allow a logo branding to be placed on each single adhesive roll.
