WB+V developed a social media campaign for the running shoes manufacturer, Brooks Sports, which literally melted on one’s tongue: Small balls of tongue dye with a chewing-gum centre were distributed to the participants of the Run Happy running series initiated by Brooks. One additionally called upon the recipients to make a selfie with their tongue dyed blue, post it on Facebook in order to take part in a prize draw. The participants could look forward to a pair of Brooks running shoes as a prize for the best photos. According to WB+V the campaign, which met the taste of both the promoting company and that of the target group, was a total success. Furthermore, the edible message supported the generation of good leads in the scope of an opt-in procedure.
The tongue dyes used for the campaign that earned itself a Promotional Gift Award 2016 in the category Best Practice were produced by the Spanish company, Finis and Der Zuckerbäcker was responsible for the picking and packing. The cellophane sweets bag also has a 4c imprintable inlay card that can be customised in the customer’s CI as well as with individual advertising messages.
