At the Promotional Gift Award 2016 Karl Knauer KG impressively demonstrated how packaging can add an extra refined touch to a good bottle of wine. The cardboard packaging that picked up an award in the category Customising Technologies turns Glenmorangie whisky into a true eye-catcher on the shelves of retail stores. The complex customisation involved the combination of over 16,000 3D holography lenses with further holography elements. According to company accounts, so many 3D elements have never been implemented on such a large-surface design on packaging ever before. An UV hybrid finish with a matt/glossy effect, the colour imprint on the inside and a relief embossed logo lend the packaging its special appearance and haptics. The inside of the packaging can also be customised in the desired colours.
