Suthor won a Promotional Gift Award in the category Customising Technologies for its cellulose serviette, which can be full-surface customised with a digital direct print. This is the first product to enable the full-bleed imprinting of the cellulose material direct off the roll: An ink-jet printer is used for this purpose, which has a throughput speed that was until now only possible using flexographic printing presses. The process currently enables a quarter-fold napkin measuring 33 x 33 cm to be full-surface imprinted, theoretically speaking even the smallest order volumes from one piece upwards are possible. The method is offered for a minimum order quantity of 240 pieces, which are delivered in packs of 20 in a poly bag.
The jury found the fact that this new printing process allows many new target groups to implement serviettes with individual advertising messages for a small budget particularly prize-worthy. They were also of the opinion that the serviettes were ideal for “rush-jobs” or last minute campaigns thanks to their short delivery periods of approx. 10 working days.
